MemoMind Privacy Policy

Overview

MemoMind is designed for private voice notes. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, action items, and reminders are created and stored on your device.

Data Collection

MemoMind does not collect personal data, audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, or action items. There is no MemoMind-operated server, and no third-party analytics, advertising, or telemetry SDKs are used.

On-Device Processing

Audio transcription and note generation use AI models that run locally on your iPhone. Your saved memos remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them using an iOS system feature such as the Share Sheet, or turn on iCloud Sync as described below.

iCloud Sync (optional)

MemoMind includes an optional iCloud Sync feature that lets your memos, transcripts, summaries, action items, and audio files appear on other devices signed into the same Apple ID (for example, a future Apple Watch companion). This feature is off by default and is only enabled when you turn on “Sync memos with iCloud” in Settings.

When enabled, MemoMind stores your memos in your personal private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit framework. The data lives inside your own Apple ID’s private storage: MemoMind does not operate any servers, and the MemoMind developer cannot read, list, or otherwise access the contents of your private database. Apple’s iCloud Terms govern the storage, encryption, and handling of this data. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in Settings; turning it off stops new uploads but does not automatically remove previously uploaded copies. To remove that data, sign in to your iCloud account on iCloud.com or in Settings › Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Storage and delete the MemoMind container, or delete the app from all your devices.

Network Access

Depending on the version of MemoMind installed, the AI model files needed for transcription and summarization are either included with the app at install time or downloaded once on first launch from a public model repository (Hugging Face). After this one-time setup, MemoMind makes no network requests for its core features and your audio, transcripts, summaries, and action items never leave your device, except when you have explicitly turned on iCloud Sync. The only other network activity is what iOS itself performs on the app’s behalf when you interact with the App Store, for example to start or restore a subscription.

Subscriptions

MemoMind Unlimited subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. MemoMind does not receive or store your payment card information.

Free-Tier Quota Enforcement

The free version of MemoMind allows a limited number of recordings per month. To keep this limit consistent after you reinstall the app on the same Apple ID, MemoMind stores an anonymous monthly count (and, when applicable, your last subscription-expiration date) in your personal iCloud key-value storage. This information is a small set of numbers; it does not include audio, transcripts, summaries, action items, or any other personal content. Like iCloud Sync, this data is stored inside your own Apple ID’s private iCloud area and is not accessible to MemoMind or any third party.
